New Cast Member on “Glee” To Stir Things Up A Bit
Well, Glee’s marketing machinery is getting almost as well-oiled as American Idol’s. The latest story released – almost two months before the 2nd season starts – is about Filipino singing sensation Charice who will be taking on Rachel in a few episodes this coming season. Has she got the chops? Hear for yourself in her actual audition for the role in front of the Glee producers…
The 18 year old obviously has a great voice. But does she need Botox? That’s the question being asked because has and it has altered her appearance somewhat. Here’s an excerpt from the AP on what she’s had done and why.
Filipino teenage singer Charice Pempengco says she prepared for her debut on the hit TV show “Glee” by getting Botox and an anti-aging procedure “to look fresh on camera.”
She underwent a 30-minute Thermage skin-tightening procedure and Botox to make her “naturally round face” more narrow, celebrity cosmetic surgeon Vicki Belo told ABS-CBN television.
Charice, in the same interview, said last week’s face makeover was part of her big preparations for her appearance on the hit show’s second season. “All people will be anticipating how will Charice look? Is she good enough to pit against Rachel Berry? So of course there is tremendous pressure,” Charice said.
In an earlier TV interview, she said she auditioned for “Glee” in mid-June in Los Angeles and was thankful to have been accepted. She also said: “It’s really a blessing,” she said, adding she was “very proud to be an Asian, very proud to be Filipino.”
The question is: Should she have the Botox at such a young age? Your thoughts?
