The Eurythmmics

The [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Eurythmics[/lastfm] burst onto the scene with 1983’s Sweet Dreams, a catchy single that shot to number one on the US charts and number two in the UK. The UK native Eurythmics enjoyed continued success in their home country, but outside of another song or two they never made it back to those heights in the US.

An interesting note on the song, its signature synthesizer riff was born when guitarist David A. Stewart listened to a bass line backward and realized he liked what he heard.
