Apparently no amount of money makes your home a sanctuary. Seems like GRAMMY winning singer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Madonna[/lastfm] is a stalker magnet. Another alleged stalker was apprehended after breaking in to her mansion in London, England TMZ.com reports. He was wrestled to the ground by body guards after being caught inside the home clutching some of the Material Girl’s possessions.
A twenty nine year old Polish citizen, Grzegorz Matlok, was arrested over the weekend when he broke a window and allegedly attempted to enter Madonna’s home. He was arrested and charged with burglary.
According to English newspaper The Sun, Madonna’s security told police this wasn’t the first time Matlok had tried to get to Madonna.
Fortunately for Madonna, she was out of the country and the intruder posed no threat to her or her family. She was in Michigan for the funeral of her grandmother who died at the age of 99.
Madonna has dealt with several stalkers in the past. In October of last year, one was found with an ice pick after scrawling “Meet me” outside her New York apartment.
In September 2010, a man who was carrying two knives was arrested outside her midtown Manhattan apartment.
Prior to that, in 1996, a man was sentenced to 10 years in prison for felony stalking after the superstar’s bodyguards had to shoot him when he scaled the wall at her home in the Hollywood Hills.
Of Madonna’s London home, a senior police source told The Sun: “Something dreadful has happened here. The security around the world’s most famous pop star should be impregnable.”
