[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Jewel[/lastfm], who is pregnant, was struck by a firetruck in Texas this past Friday, and had to be rushed to the hospital.

Although the cause of the accident is still unknown, Jewel and her unborn child were rushed to the hospital for testing. Early results indicate that Jewel and baby Jewel suffered minimal damage and will be OK.

Maybe she was busy sending her thoughts and prayers to Japan for the disaster that has taken place. This was her last Tweet before the accident and hopefully she wasn’t Tweeting and driving.

Good thing that firetruck didn’t cause any harm! Jewel and her husband Ty Murray have been trying for a baby for 2 years.
