Did you ever wonder why the moon looks the way it does? The moon has endured many meteors and volcanoes that made it look the way it does today. Nasa has released a video showing the transformation of the moon’s surface. The video has been released to coincide with the commemoration of the 1000th day of The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter in space, gathering data on the moon to assist future astronauts in “long-duration lunar expeditions.” The NASA video shows 4 billion years of the moon in about 3 minutes.
