Ron Palillo, “Arnold Horshack” From “Welcome Back, Kotter,” Has Died

Actor Ron Palillo, who played Arnold Horshack on the 1970’s sitcom “Welcome Back Kotter” died after suffering a heart attack today.  He was 63 years old.  Horshack will always be known for his “Oooooh Ooooooh.”

Horshack was one of the “Sweathogs” at James Buchanan High which also included Vinny Barbarino (John Travolta),  Freddie “Boom Boom” Washington (Lawrence Hilton Jacobs),  and Juan Epstein (Robert Hegyes).  Hegyes just died this past January at age 60.

Paillo was living in Palm Springs, Florida at the time of his death.
