Amy Winehouse’s family has commissioned sculptor Scott Eaton to create a life-size bronze statue in memory of their late daughter. The work will be displayed at the London music venue The Roadhouse, the last place Winehouse performed just days before she died in July of 2011.

The artist told E! News that he doesn’t want the sculpture to be “cheesy.” She will not be holding a microphone in the replica, but will look like she has been “installed on the balcony in the Roundhouse [Theatre] in the Camden area…So she’s kind of looking back towards Camden Town from the balcony.”

“It’s about Amy,” Eaton said. “It’s all about really trying to capture her character in the piece.”

But don’t worry, the statue will of course replicate her signature hairstyle to a T.

“I’ve gotten instruction on how her beehive is put together and how she would do it,” he explained. “Something that I never thought I’d learn, but I now know all about beehive stuff.”

In celebration of Amy Winehouse’s 30th birthday, an exhibit dedicated to her life and career is coming to London’s Jewish museum this summer.

A documentary is also in the works to chronicle the singer’s career and untimely death from alcohol poisoning. No release date for the film has been announced as of yet.
