From time to time Jimmy Fallon brings the Roots and a recording artist together to perform a song with the Roots performing on instruments you’d find in an elementary school classroom.

In the past Jimmy has done this with artists like Christina Aguilera, Mariah Carey, and Carly Rae Jepsen.

The tradition continues with Jimmy, The Roots and Robin Thicke performing Robin’s big hit “Blurred Lines.” The only instruments used in this video are: wood block, Casio keyboard, spoons, wooden clacker, kazoo, xylophone, melodica, ukulele, recorder, banana shaker, cowbell and maraca.

This has become a trademark for “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” and they just keep getting better and better.
