Jimmy Kimmel Asked People to Recite the Pledge of Allegiance: Fail

How long has it been since you’ve recited the Pledge of Allegiance?

Didn’t we do it every day in school when we were kids?

Some schools in St. Louis have the kids recite the Pledge of Allegiance every day, but some schools only do it once a week.

Missouri law requires schools to give the children the option to recite the Pledge of Allegiance once a week. Kids have the option to not participate if they choose not to.

Well apparently people not only don’t recite the Pledge but can’t even remember the words.

Last night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Jimmy sent a crew out to Hollywood Boulevard to ask people to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. Yeah, it didn’t go well.

Here’s why we should recite it every day and examine exactly what it means:
