Readers of this blog over the past year know there are few things in life which give me more pleasure than the local news blooper.

Let’s see, there was the single worst news anchor debut of ALL TIME.

The unfortunate ad libber

The reporter who happily reduces a child to tears

Our latest installment of “Anchors Acting Badly” features the crazy, wacky news team from Birmingham’s CBS 42 , which turned amazingly awkward after anchor, Gina Redmond kicked the conversation over to meteorologist Mark Prater with a question about “his little wiener.”

The conversation is so innocuous, so devoid of anything substantive,  (basically pretty typical of any local early morning news show), that you know  right away it’s headed way off the tracks.

What’s amazing is that Gina seems to be the only person in the room who doesn’t realize just how far off the track she has veered.  She’s laughing at her co-worker, everyone else in the studio and at home watching is laughing at YOU Gina.

Oh to be a fly on the wall when she has a chance to see the tape.

Enjoy…this one goes into the archives.
