Best Fan Theories for TV & Movies for 2013
Oh, I LOVE this stuff!
First, as well you know, I spend WAY too much time watching movies and TV. At some point, I’m going to have to venture back out there and get a life again….you’re right, you’re right, I know you’re right.
Secondly, as Trish said this morning, it’s that time of year when we start getting all the “Best of” lists…..this one is….YES!!!!!
Anyway, I’ve always loved the “theories” behind movies’ “real” meanings… Remember when “The Matrix” came out and the going theory was that Neo was Jesus Christ, along with accompanying proof? Loved that!
Or, when someone, somehow discovered in 1995 that if one queues up “Wizard of Oz” and the 1973 Pink Floyd album “Dark Side of the Moon,” starting the music after the third roar of the MGM lion, there are some pretty cool moments where what’s going on in the movie lines up with the theme of the music playing at that moment. Great example of synchronicity. HERE is the Wikipedia page for the whole how-to…it’s called “Dark Side of the Rainbow”
So….while watching so, so, SO many movies and so much TV, I have joined a few fandoms…..or, rather, these fandoms have enveloped me. In particular for the shows “Sherlock,” “Doctor Who” (the new re-booted version….I haven’t really gone back to the beginning yet…) and “Supernatural.”
These shows…for me…are all very well written, so smart, very funny, quick and keep you hanging on the edge of your seat. Especially “Sherlock”…Season 3 is supposed to air this January, and I’m starting to get positively TWITCHY!
All these fandoms, and all other fandoms (for “Twilight,” “The Avengers,” “Walking Dead,” “Harry Potter” etc…etc…etc…) all have abundant theories about the characters or plots….
When I saw this on Buzzfeed this morning I actually went a little geek girl, I was so excited!! Here are…..
You’re gonna love it!!!!!
