Feel like braving these frigid temps for some sledding action? If you think you can take these ridiculously cold temps for some fun in the snow, more power to you!

If you’re from St. Louis and love to be adventurous out in the snow, then you probably have your favorite sledding spot. But maybe you’re new to the area or have never been out sledding in the city and want the 411. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with some of the best hills to sled down.

Art Hill in Forest Park is always a great place to go sledding. Located right in front of the St. Louis Art Museum, this snowy slope attracts plenty of locals during snowy days for one of the biggest hills in the area. What makes this hill so great is, well how big it is! There’s plenty of room that many at once can enjoy the slope.

Polar Plunge in Hidden Valley Ski Resort is another favorite. Located in Wildwood, this resort offers the metro area winter weather even when there is no precipitation from mother nature. Yes, they are that good! While this sledding experience isn’t free, it’s definitely worth trying once (or twice) with the kiddos. Think of it the alternative as tubing on a lake, but down a hill in chilly temps. Kind of the same thing, right?

Taking things to the other side of the Mississippi is the great hills at Fairview Height’s Pleasant Ridge Park. Offering sledders a U-shaped hill makes the sledding seem endless! Sled down one side, walk up the other side and then slide back on down. Sounds like good exercise!

If you’re from Maplewood, you’ve probably been to Deer Creek Park. This hill attracts plenty of local families with it’s multiple dips sending you whizzing down the slope at a fast pace. Kid’s love it and who’s say adults don’t either? Located off of Laclede Station Road in Maplewood, it’s convenient for the locals to make the trip for some sledding fun.

One last favorite is Bum’s Hollow (hold the jokes, please) out in St. Charles in Blanchette Park. This is one of the most popular sledding hills in St. Charles County because of it’s bowl shaped hills letting multiple sledders take to the slopes at once. What’s not to enjoy about that.
