I am on Juan Pablo’s side. Does this surprise you? Yes, he can be rude. Yes, he can be offensive and at times insensitive. But to Juan Pablo, he’s being “honest.” The After the Rose Ceremony was so uncomfortable last night. Chris Harrison spent most of the show trying to make Juan Pablo say he LOVES Nikki. Everyone seems to be disappointed that Juan Pablo didn’t propose and didn’t say the “L” word. Is that written in the Bachelor contract? OMG after two months of reality TV you’re not going to propose? You are a horrible man Juan Pablo!!! (sarcasm) To me, he’s one of the most honest ones by taking this approach. Would we rather he lie and say he loves her when he’s not sure? Let’s keep in mind he also has a daughter and maybe proposing after two months of being on a reality show isn’t the best idea. Yes I get the purpose of the Bachelor but if he’s not sure, he’s not sure. After over 12 years of the Bachelor franchise only FIVE couples are still together. So couples sat on that couch professing their love and then BOOM, it’s over. What happened last night is reality to me. They are done with the show and now want to see how their relationship holds up in the real world. I’m ok with the outcome. Lay off Chris Harrison!

In case you were wondering the five couples still together from the Bachelor:

Season 13: Jason Mesnick and Molly — STILL TOGETHER. Jason infamously ended his engagement with Melissa on the “After the Final Rose” special, asking Molly out for coffee just a few minutes later. Awkward! But the Mesnicks got married in February 2010 and they are still going strong four years later.

Season 17: Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici — STILL TOGETHER after getting engaged in November 2012 during filming, and got MARRIED on January 26, 2014 in ABC’s first LIVE televised finale!

From the Bachelorette:
Season 1: Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter — STILL TOGETHER, after the finale aired in February 2003 they got married in an ABC special broadcast on December 6, 2003. They now have two children together

Season 7: Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum — STILL TOGETHER after getting engaged on the finale, which aired August 1, 2011. They were married in a ceremony televised on ABC in December 2012.

Season 9: Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried — STILL TOGETHER after getting engaged on the finale, which aired August 5, 2013. Des moved to Seattle the weekend after and the couple is planning their wedding.
