Monday Night Football this week brought a very emotional moment to the nation, courtesy of Jazz trumpeter, Chris Botti.   Before the Giants/Colts game, Chris played a solo, instrumental version of the National Anthem.  There was something simplistically magnificent about it.  Just Chris and his horn in a dead quite Met Life Stadium in New Jersey.

During the telecast, with a backdrop of a giant American Flag over the field,  the camera panned around to show the enormous flag, the Giants and Colts players, the crowd.

Then comes the magic moment.  The camera gives a closeup shot on the Colts’ wide receiver Reggie Wayne who was literally moved to tears.  I mean tears streaming down his cheeks.

This video will give you chills and may make a statement for more understated  versions of the National Anthem.  Bravo, Chris Botti.  Reggie Wayne, bless your heart.
