Lorde didn’t emerge fully formed at age 17 with a world-conquering poise and a perfect singing voice. In fact, she had them way before that.
We already knew some of the headliners (Eminem, Kings of Leon, Arctic Monkeys, Skrillex), but the official release revealed a few new acts on the bill including Foster the People, Lorde, Avett Brothers and the rest of the bill.
“These four headlining artists are willing to play for free because they believe this generation wants to see the end of extreme poverty,” said Hugh Evans, cofounder and CEO of Global Poverty Project.
